Bentosa, also known as fire-cupping therapy, is an ancient form of alternative therapy that involves placing special cups on the skin to create suction. This technique is believed to stimulate the flow of energy, or "Qi," in the body, promoting healing and relaxation.
The process involves heating the cups, often made of glass, bamboo, or silicone, and then placing them on the skin. As the air inside the cup cools, it creates a vacuum that causes the skin to rise and redden as blood vessels expand. This increased blood flow is thought to help with various ailments, including muscle pain, stiffness, and inflammation.
